Description

HLA Attachments SSB96BO500 96-Inch Side Discharge Sand Bucket is a hydraulically powered material-handling attachment designed to place sand efficiently from either side of the carrier. This SSB96 configuration combines a 96-inch inside width, 1-2/3-cubic-yard heaped capacity, and BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach interface. Its 12-inch-wide discharge belt, dual hydraulic belt motors, and hydraulically driven beater work together to move material consistently while helping reduce bridging. It is well suited to applications where controlled lateral discharge can simplify placement and reduce the need to repeatedly reposition the loader.

Controlled Discharge in Either Direction

The side-discharge system allows material to be discharged from either side of the machine. This makes the bucket useful when working alongside an area being filled or covered, particularly where forward dumping is less practical. The 12-inch belt is fitted with mini cleats to help carry material toward the selected discharge side.

Two hydraulic motors power the discharge belt, while a separate hydraulic motor operates the beater. The beater improves material flow and helps prevent bridging inside the bucket, supporting more consistent delivery to the belt. A belt shield reduces the amount of material weight resting directly on the belt, helping lower startup strain when discharge begins.

Hydraulic Direct-Coupled Drive

The SSB96BO500 uses a direct-coupled hydraulic drive system. The bucket requires a minimum hydraulic flow of 12 GPM from the carrier. Before installation, confirm that the loader or material handler can provide the required hydraulic flow and has the appropriate hydraulic connections for attachment operation.

BO500 Bolt-On Mounting System

This model is equipped with HLA’s BO500 bolt-on skid-steer-style quick-attach interface. HLA’s bolt-on quick-attach adapter system allows the bucket to be configured for supported loader interfaces without changing the complete bucket structure. Compatibility must be verified for the specific carrier and adapter before use.
