Description

Wallenstein FX140 14,000 lb Skidding Winch is a PTO-driven mechanical skidding winch designed for tractors rated from 80 to 120 engine HP. Built for demanding log-skidding applications, it combines a 14,000 lb (6,350 kg) pulling capacity with a steel cable, mechanical dry disc clutch, manual pull rope, and two choker chains. The FX140 mounts to a Category II three-point hitch and operates from a 540 rpm PTO, providing a practical solution for forestry, land management, and woodlot operations that require controlled pulling power from a compatible tractor.

Powerful PTO-Driven Skidding Performance

The Wallenstein FX140 uses a mechanical drive system with a dry disc clutch to deliver its rated pulling capacity. Its 165 ft (50 m) steel cable is 1/2 in (13 mm) in diameter and supports line speeds from 98 to 246 ft/min (30 to 75 m/min). This combination gives operators the reach and pulling performance needed for skidding work while maintaining a straightforward PTO-driven design.

A manual pull rope is included to help position and operate the winch during use. Two choker chains are also specified, supporting the connection of logs or other loads for skidding applications. Two keyhole sliders are part of the winch configuration, and the PTO input is positioned at a height of 22 in (56 cm).
