HLA Attachments BR84BO500 84-Inch Hydraulic Rotary Broom is an open rotary sweeper built for compatible skid-steer loaders. Its 84-inch working width, direct hydraulic motor drive, and 21 large-diameter bristle wafers provide a substantial sweeping path, while hydraulic angling allows material to be directed up to 30 degrees left or right. Unique forward and lateral float, fixed gauge wheels, and up to 3 degrees of lateral oscillation give the broom freedom to move with the working surface. Supplied with a BO500 universal skid-steer quick-attach mount, hydraulic hoses, and flat-faced couplers, this configuration is ready to connect to a carrier delivering the required hydraulic flow and pressure.

Open Rotary Broom for Skid-Steer Loaders

The BR84BO500 combines HLA Attachments’ BR84 broom with the BO500 skid-steer quick-attach mount. It is an open rotary broom rather than a pick-up broom, allowing swept material to be directed away from the broom using its angled brush position.

Hydraulic angling provides 30 degrees of adjustment to either side, enabling the operator to change the discharge direction from the carrier. The broom is driven directly by a hydraulic motor, eliminating the need for PTO drive components. Its hydraulic system requires 12–20 GPM of oil flow at an operating pressure between 1,500 and 3,000 PSI.

Floating Broom Design

The BR84 incorporates both forward float and lateral float. Lateral movement provides up to 3 degrees of oscillation, while fixed gauge wheels support the broom assembly. This combination allows controlled movement of the broom during operation without changing the mounting connection.

The brush uses 21 wafers, each measuring 26 inches in diameter. Standard wafers feature a 50/50 combination of poly and steel bristles. Operators who require a different bristle configuration can select optional all-poly wafers.

Optional Equipment

The BR84BO500 can be configured with optional all-poly bristle wafers. An optional reversing kit enables reverse brush rotation for sweeping away from buildings and obstacles. A dust-suppression water kit is also available, consisting of a 25-gallon tank with a single fan nozzle.

Compatibility

This rotary broom is compatible with skid-steer loaders equipped with a universal skid-steer quick-attach carrier. The supplied BO500 mount is designed for this carrier format. Before installation, confirm that the carrier has sufficient capacity for the broom’s approximate 1,110 lb attachment weight and can provide the specified hydraulic output.
