HLA Attachments BR72BO500 72-Inch Hydraulic Rotary Broom is a direct-drive sweeper designed for skid steers and compact wheel loaders equipped with a skid-steer-style quick-attach carrier. Its 72-inch nominal working width, hydraulic angling and combined lateral and forward float provide the control needed to follow the working surface and direct swept material to either side. The standard 50/50 poly-and-steel bristle arrangement delivers the performance of 18 poly wafers and 19 steel wafers, while fixed gauge wheels help support consistent broom positioning. Supplied with hydraulic hoses and flat-faced couplers, this open rotary broom is configured for machines providing 12–20 GPM at 1,500–3,000 PSI.

Controlled Sweeping with Hydraulic Angling

The BR72BO500 can be hydraulically angled up to 30 degrees left or 30 degrees right, allowing the operator to control where material is discharged without manually repositioning the broom. This makes it a versatile attachment for sweeping applications where material needs to be moved toward a selected side of the work area.

A direct hydraulic motor drive powers the broom without a separate chain-drive arrangement. The broom also incorporates HLA Attachments’ unique lateral and forward float. These two directions of float allow the attachment to respond to the working surface while the fixed gauge wheels provide support during operation.

26-Inch Poly and Steel Bristle Wafers

The standard broom uses 26-inch-diameter bristle wafers in a 50/50 poly-and-steel configuration. Its wafer assembly consists of 18 poly wafers and 19 steel wafers. For applications requiring a different bristle configuration, an all-poly arrangement is available as an option.

Optional equipment can further configure the broom for specific operating needs. A broom-rotation reversing kit is available where reverse rotation is desired. Dust control can be added with an optional 25-gallon water kit featuring a single fan nozzle. An optional OEM connection wire kit is also available.

The BO500 attachment configuration is associated with skid-steer-style quick-attach carriers. This broom is intended for compatible skid steers and compact wheel loaders with an operating weight of up to 13,000 lb. Carrier attachment style, operating weight and hydraulic output should all be confirmed before installation.

Hydraulic Requirements

The carrier must provide hydraulic oil flow within the specified range of 12–20 GPM and hydraulic pressure between 1,500 and 3,000 PSI. Hydraulic hoses and flat-faced couplers are included with the broom.
