Description

Vermeer 504R Premium Round Baler is a variable-chamber round baler configured for producing consistent 4-ft-wide bales with adjustable diameters from 36 to 60 inches. This 4-ft x 5-ft package includes twine, standard netwrap, a spring-loaded bale ramp, standard rock belts and flotation tires as listed. With a 60-inch five-bar camless pickup, standard silage kit, moisture sensing and Atlas Pro control, the 504R Premium is designed for hay and high-moisture baling applications where bale shape, density and wrapping flexibility matter.

Built for Consistent Bale Formation

The Vermeer 504R Premium uses a variable-chamber design to produce bales from 36 to 60 inches in diameter and 47 inches wide. Its 60-inch camless pickup helps gather windrows, while standard bale-shape indicators support consistent bale formation during operation. The six-belt system is available with premium mini rough-top or endless belt configurations, and standard rock belts are included on the 504R Premium.

Controls, Moisture Sensing and Silage Capability

An Atlas Pro control system with a 7-inch color touchscreen provides operator control and bale information from the tractor cab. Standard moisture sensing measures moisture up to 29%, helping monitor baling conditions. The standard silage kit supports high-moisture hay and baleage applications, while the standard netwrap system provides a wrapping option for completed bales. This configured package also includes a twine system.

Tractor Requirements

The Vermeer 504R Premium requires a tractor with a minimum 55 PTO horsepower (41 kW). Vermeer recommends 65 PTO horsepower (48.5 kW) for operation. The baler uses a 540-rpm driveline. Hydraulic pickup lift is standard, and bale-density adjustment is made through a hydraulic relief valve. Additional tractor hydraulic flow and pressure requirements were not published in the available specifications.
