Description

The HLA Attachments BRGC42BO500 42-inch Compact Brush Grapple is a hydraulic material-handling attachment designed for brush handling, land clearing, and related loader work. Its compact 42-inch working width, single hydraulic grapple arm, and closely spaced lower tines provide a practical combination for collecting and controlling irregular material. This configured model features HLA’s BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach mount, AR400 tine and grapple tips at key wear points, and a maximum 38-inch opening from the ground to the grapple point.

Compact Hydraulic Material Handling

The BRGC42BO500 is built around a 42-inch nominal working width, making it suitable for applications where a compact grapple is preferred. The attachment measures 28 inches in overall height and 33 inches in overall depth, with an approximate configured catalogue weight of 390 lb.

A single grapple arm secures material against the lower tine structure. The grapple opens up to 38 inches when measured from the ground to the grapple point, providing space for gathering brush and other irregular loads. The lower tines are positioned 6 inches on center to support material while allowing loose debris to pass between them.

Wear-Point Construction

HLA equips the tine tips and grapple tips with AR400 material. These reinforced wear points are positioned where the attachment engages material during loading, carrying, and clearing work. The grapple is operated by one 2-1/2-inch by 8-inch hydraulic cylinder.

Hydraulic Requirements

The grapple arm is powered by one 2-1/2-inch by 8-inch hydraulic cylinder. Auxiliary hydraulic hoses and couplers may be required for installation and are listed separately by HLA. Available options include the HK90 90-inch hose kit with flat-faced couplers and the HK9090 90-inch hose kit with 90-degree flat-faced couplers. An SHMK spring hose-mount kit is also available as an optional hose-support solution.

Compatibility and Mounting

This BRGC42 is configured with the BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach mounting arrangement. It is compatible with loader models specified by HLA for the BO500 quick-attach code. Because mounting requirements can vary by loader, fitment should be confirmed against HLA’s loader-specific mounting tables before ordering.
