Description

The Wallenstein BXM32 Chipper/Shredder is a PTO-driven, gravity-feed implement designed for tractors supplying 12–35 hp. It combines a 3 in (8 cm) chipping capacity with a 1 in (2.5 cm) shredding capacity, making it suitable for processing branches, brush, and other woody material. The disc chipper, hammer-mill shredder, integrated shredder hopper, and adjustable discharge system provide versatile material handling for property maintenance, acreage management, and land-clearing tasks. The BXM32 mounts to a Category I three-point hitch and is compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems.

  • 3 in (8 cm) chipping capacity for branches and woody material
  • 1 in (2.5 cm) shredding capacity
  • Gravity-feed system with PTO belt drive
  • Disc-style chipper and hammer-mill shredder
  • Integrated shredder hopper for convenient material feeding
  • Adjustable discharge chute with 360° rotation
  • Positional discharge deflector for directing processed material
  • Chop-Block Technology
  • Oversized heavy-duty rotor
  • Reversible rotor knives
  • Twig breaker
  • Category I, iMatch™, and Quick Hitch compatible mounting system

Chipping and Shredding Performance

The BXM32 uses separate processing systems for chipping and shredding. Its disc chipper has a 3 in × 6 in (8 cm × 15 cm) infeed opening and two chipper knives. For smaller material, the hammer-mill shredder provides a 1 in (2.5 cm) shredding capacity and uses 27 shredder knives. The dedicated chipper and shredder hopper openings help accommodate the respective types of material being processed.

An 18 in (45 cm) rotor with a listed weight of 70 lb (32 kg) supports the PTO-driven processing system. The reversible rotor knives are designed to provide an additional knife position when servicing the implement, while the twig breaker is included among the BXM32's listed processing features.

Discharge and Material Handling

The discharge chute is 58 in (147 cm) high and rotates through 360°, allowing processed material to be directed around the implement. The positional discharge deflector provides further control over the discharge direction. Together, these features help place chips and shredded material where required during cleanup and property maintenance work.

Tractor Requirements

The Wallenstein BXM32 is a tractor PTO-driven implement requiring a tractor with an engine/PTO power range of 12–35 hp. It operates with a 540 rpm PTO input speed and mounts using a Category I three-point hitch. The mounting system is also compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems. The implement's PTO height is 11 in (27 cm).
