The WALLENSTEIN BXT72S 7" Chipper is a gravity-feed, towable disc wood chipper designed for backyard, rural property, and commercial landscaping projects. Its self-contained gasoline-powered operation uses a Vanguard® 40 hp (993 cc) EFI engine, while the centrifugal clutch and belt-drive system transfer power to a 28-inch rotor equipped with four chipper knives. With a 7-inch (18 cm) chipping capacity, wide infeed opening, highway-towable design, and adjustable discharge chute, the BXT72S is built to process branches and woody material efficiently at locations where portability and independent operation are important.

Designed for Portable Chipping

The BXT72S combines a towable chassis with a self-contained engine, allowing the chipper to be transported to the work area without relying on a tractor PTO or external power source. Its highway-towable configuration supports movement between properties and job sites, while the 5.30 x 12 tires and Torflex suspension axle are specified as part of the machine’s transport design.

At the work area, the gravity-feed hopper provides access to a 7.3 x 11-inch infeed opening. The fold-up hopper can be raised without tools, helping simplify storage and transport. Material is processed by the disc rotor, which has a 28-inch diameter and weighs 247 lb (112 kg). The reversible rotor knives and twig breaker are included among the manufacturer-specified features.

Discharge Control

The discharge chute is positioned 89 inches (226 cm) high and rotates through 295°. Its adjustable design and positional discharge deflector help direct processed material to the desired discharge area during chipping operations.
