Wallenstein BX52R 5in Hydraulic Infeed Wood Chipper is a PTO-driven, three-point-hitch wood chipper designed for tractors rated from 40 to 55 hp. Built for processing branches and woody material up to 5 inches (13 cm) in diameter, the BX52R combines dual hydraulic feed rollers, a heavy-duty disc-style rotor, manual controls, and a wide 5 x 10 inch (13 x 26 cm) infeed opening. Its 3-point Category I mounting system is compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems, making it a practical attachment for property maintenance, land clearing, and managing brush and branches where tractor power and hydraulic flow are available.

Efficient Hydraulic Feeding

The BX52R uses dual driven hydraulic rollers to draw material into the chipper, helping support consistent feeding of branches and woody debris. The tractor must provide hydraulic flow of 3–6 gpm (12–23 lpm). For tractors without a suitable hydraulic power supply, a self-contained PTO hydraulic power pack is available as an option.

The fold-up feed hopper can be raised without tools for transport and storage. A wide infeed opening and twig breaker help accommodate a range of branches, while the safety control bar provides manual control during operation.

Heavy-Duty Disc Rotor and Chute

A 25-inch (63 cm), 125 lb (57 kg) rotor supports the BX52R’s 5-inch chipping capacity. The disc-style chipper has four reversible knives, allowing the cutting edges to be turned when required. The oversized rotor is paired with a shearbolt-protected PTO direct-drive system for connection to the tractor’s power take-off.

Chipped material is directed through a discharge chute measuring 74 inches (188 cm) high. The chute rotates through 360 degrees and includes a positional discharge deflector, allowing the discharge direction to be adjusted for the work area.

The Wallenstein BX52R requires a tractor with 40–55 hp and operates with a rated PTO speed of 540–1000 rpm. It is a PTO direct-drive attachment with a PTO height of 22–27 inches (55–69 cm). The chipper mounts to a Category I three-point hitch and is compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems.

Tractor-supplied hydraulic flow must be between 3 and 6 gpm (12–23 lpm) for the hydraulic feed system. A self-contained PTO hydraulic power pack is available as an option for tractors without a suitable hydraulic supply.
