The WALLENSTEIN BX52RI 5 in PTO-Driven Disc Wood Chipper is designed for tractors in the 30–55 engine horsepower range and combines dual hydraulic feed rollers with P3 Pulse™ on-board intelligence for controlled, productive wood processing. With a 5 in (13 cm) chipping capacity, a PTO direct-drive system, automatic roller speed control, and a wide infeed opening, it is suited to clearing branches, processing brush, and managing woody material on farms, estates, and property-maintenance operations. Its Category I three-point hitch mounting is compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems, while the fold-up hopper and folded transport dimensions support practical movement and storage.

Hydraulic Feed and P3 Pulse™ Control

The BX52RI uses a dual hydraulic roller feed system to draw material into the chipper. Automatic roller speed control and P3 Pulse™ on-board intelligence help manage feeding operation while processing branches and brush. The machine requires a tractor hydraulic flow of 3–6 gpm (12–23 lpm).

Wallenstein lists the self-contained PTO Power Pack C3540 and the 1000 RPM version C31K as accessories. These power-pack options are not included as confirmed built-in equipment for this product.

Chipping and Discharge Performance

A 25 in (63 cm), 125 lb (57 kg) rotor fitted with four reversible knives provides the cutting platform for material up to 5 in (13 cm). The 5 x 10 in (13 x 26 cm) chipper infeed opening and 35 x 30 in (89 x 76 cm) hopper opening provide access for feeding woody material. Chips are directed through a discharge chute measuring 74 in (188 cm) high, with 360° rotation and a positional discharge deflector for directing output.

Tractor Compatibility and Requirements

The WALLENSTEIN BX52RI is a tractor PTO-driven wood chipper for tractors producing 30–55 engine horsepower. It uses a Category I three-point hitch and is iMatch™ and Quick Hitch compatible. The rated PTO speed is 540–1000 rpm, with a PTO height of 22–27 in (55–69 cm). Confirm that the tractor meets the required engine horsepower, PTO speed, hitch configuration, and 3–6 gpm hydraulic-flow requirement before operation.

Transport and Mounting

The chipper weighs 845 lb (384 kg). Its open dimensions are 80 x 67 x 74 in (204 x 171 x 188 cm), while the folded dimensions are 62 x 61 x 74 in (158 x 155 x 188 cm). The fold-up feed hopper and 61 in (155 cm) folded transport width help reduce the machine’s footprint when moving or storing it.
