The Wallenstein BXT36S 3.5 in Gravity-Feed Disc Wood Chipper is a towable, self-contained chipper designed for processing branches, round material, and flat material without requiring a tractor PTO or hydraulic connection. Powered by a Vanguard® 14 hp (408 cc) engine, it combines a gravity-feed system, centrifugal clutch, belt drive, and oversized 25 in rotor to deliver a practical solution for property maintenance, landscaping, firewood preparation, and cleanup work. Its highway-towable configuration, 2 in ball coupler, adjustable discharge chute, and tool-free fold-up feed hopper support convenient transport and efficient operation around the jobsite.

Efficient Gravity-Feed Chipping

The BXT36S uses a manual gravity-feed system to guide material into its disc-style cutting assembly. It handles round material up to 3.5 in (9 cm) in diameter and flat material up to 10 in (25 cm) wide. The wide 3.6 in x 10 in infeed opening and 19 in x 19 in hopper opening provide access for suitable branches and material, while the oversized heavy-duty rotor supports consistent chipping performance.

Two reversible rotor knives made from hardened tool steel are fitted to the 25 in rotor. A twig breaker helps process smaller branches, and the centrifugal clutch with belt drive transfers engine power to the rotor. The rotor operates at 1,620 RPM, while the Vanguard engine operates at 3,600 RPM.

Convenient Discharge and Transport

The discharge chute reaches 62 in (157 cm) in height and rotates through 284 degrees, allowing chips to be directed into a suitable area. An adjustable discharge chute and positional discharge deflector help manage chip placement during operation.

For moving between work areas, the BXT36S is highway towable and equipped with a 2 in ball coupler and 4.80 x 8 tires. The tool-free fold-up feed hopper supports a more compact transport configuration. The chipper has an overall transport size of 111 in long by 43 in wide by 62 in high and weighs 773 lb (350 kg), with a tongue weight of 75 lb (34 kg).
