Description

The Wallenstein BX36RHP 3.5 in Chipper is a tractor-mounted disc wood chipper designed for 15–40 engine-hp tractors. It combines a PTO direct-drive system with dual hydraulic roller feed and a built-in PTO-driven hydraulic power pack, allowing the feed system to operate without requiring external tractor hydraulic flow. With a 3.5 in (9 cm) chipping capacity, a wide 4 in × 9 in (10 cm × 23 cm) infeed opening, fold-up feed hopper, reversible rotor knives, and an adjustable 360° discharge chute, the BX36RHP is suited to property maintenance, land management, and processing branches and other suitable woody material with a compatible Category I tractor.

Efficient Hydraulic Feeding and PTO Power

The BX36RHP uses dual driven hydraulic rollers to help draw material into the chipper. Its integrated hydraulic power pack is powered through the tractor PTO, so the chipper’s hydraulic feed system does not require external hydraulic flow from the tractor. PTO direct drive transfers power to the disc, while the recommended tractor engine range of 15–40 hp provides a broad range of compatible tractor applications.

The fold-up feed hopper helps reduce the chipper’s folded transport width when moving or storing the machine. An adjustable ski base supports positioning, while the safety control bar provides an accessible control interface at the feed area. The twig breaker and oversized heavy-duty rotor support the chipper’s processing configuration.

Tractor Compatibility and Requirements

The Wallenstein BX36RHP is intended for use with tractors producing 15–40 engine hp. It mounts to a Category I three-point hitch and is compatible with iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems. The tractor must provide a PTO operating within the rated range of 540–1000 rpm. The chipper includes a built-in PTO-driven hydraulic power pack, and external tractor hydraulic flow is not required for the hydraulic feed system.
