WALLENSTEIN 3.5" Chipper, Hydraulic Feed, Tractor

The WALLENSTEIN BX36R 3.5" Chipper, Hydraulic Feed, Tractor is a tractor-mounted PTO disc wood chipper designed for tractors in the 15–40 engine-HP range. Its dual hydraulic feed rollers help draw material into the chipper, while the PTO direct-drive system powers a heavy-duty 25-inch rotor fitted with four reversible knives. With a 3.5-inch (9 cm) chipping capacity, adjustable discharge chute, fold-up feed hopper and compatibility with Category I three-point hitches, iMatch™ and Quick Hitch systems, the BX36R is suited to clearing branches, processing brush and producing wood chips around farms, acreages and managed properties.

Designed for Tractor-Powered Chipping

The BX36R uses a PTO direct-drive system and is rated for 540–1000 PTO rpm. Its tractor-mounted configuration allows the chipper to be operated from a compatible three-point hitch while the tractor supplies the required hydraulic flow to the dual feed rollers. The 15–40 HP engine range provides a defined tractor requirement for matching the machine to an appropriate power unit.

Hydraulic Feed and Material Handling

Dual hydraulic rollers help feed material through the 4-inch × 9-inch infeed opening. The fold-up feed hopper can be raised without tools, supporting transport and storage when the chipper is not in use. A safety control bar, twig breaker and wide infeed design are included among the BX36R’s operating features.

Discharge and Chipping System

The BX36R is built around a disc chipping system with a 25-inch (63 cm) rotor weighing 125 lb (57 kg). Four reversible knives are fitted to the rotor. Chipped material exits through a discharge chute positioned 60 inches (152 cm) above the ground. The chute rotates through 360° and includes an adjustable discharge deflector for positioning the chip flow.
