The Vermeer VRC1022 Carted Wheel Rake is a 10-wheel hay rake designed to help producers efficiently gather hay into consistent windrows across a working width of 19 to 22.5 ft. Its durable one-piece welded steel frame, patented rubber torsion suspension, high-clearance design, and tool-free width adjustments support dependable field operation while helping maintain consistent ground pressure. Standard single-sided raking can be configured for either left- or right-side operation, and optional equipment—including a center splitter, rake-wheel wind discs, highway lights, and a safety chain—allows the rake to be tailored to different haymaking and transport requirements.

Efficient Windrow Formation

The VRC1022 uses ten 55-in rake wheels, each fitted with 40 teeth, to gather forage across a broad working width. Raking width can be adjusted from 19 ft to 22.5 ft, while the windrow width can be adjusted from 21 in to 87 in. Tool-free adjustment of both raking and windrow width helps simplify setup for changing field conditions and desired windrow sizes.

Single-sided raking is standard, with the machine configurable for left- or right-side operation. An optional dual-wheel center splitter is available for applications requiring additional windrow configuration flexibility. Optional rake-wheel wind discs are also available.

Durable Design and Ground Following

A one-piece welded steel frame and tongue provide the foundation for the carted rake. The patented rubber torsion suspension on the toolbar is designed to provide consistent ground pressure, supporting smooth rake-wheel contact across the field.
