Designed for Efficient Hay Raking

The VRB12 provides a broad working width for covering larger areas efficiently. Its 12 rake wheels are equipped with 40 teeth each and have a 60-inch diameter, helping gather cut material into defined windrows for subsequent hay-handling operations. The windrow width can be adjusted from a minimum of 36 inches to a maximum of 72 inches, allowing the rake to be configured for different crop volumes and field conditions.

Toolless ground-pressure adjustment helps simplify setup, while the toolless windrow-width adjustment with ratchet lever allows changes without requiring tools. An optional hydraulic windrow-width adjustment circuit is also available where specified. Optional single-side raking and a center splitter provide additional configuration possibilities.

Hydraulic Folding and Transport

The bi-fold design hydraulically opens and closes from the tractor cab. When folded, the rake measures 8.3 ft wide, with a transport length of 24.8 ft (7.6 m) and transport height of 6.4 ft (2.0 m). Standard highway lights support transport visibility. The rake has a total weight of 3,820 lb (1,732.7 kg), including a tongue weight of 1,367 lb (620.1 kg), and uses 205/75-R15 transport tires.

Tractor Requirements

The Vermeer VRB12 requires a tractor with a minimum of 30 hp (22.4 kW). The tractor must provide two double-acting hydraulic circuits with hydraulic pressure of 1,800 psi (124.1 bar) and hydraulic flow of 5 gpm (18.9 L/min). The tractor must also be equipped with ROPS, a seat belt, and an upright exhaust system.
