Its hydraulic drive, hydraulic flotation, individual rake-wheel suspension and adjustable wheel pressure support consistent field performance while helping the rake follow changing ground conditions. Efficient, Adjustable Windrow Formation

The VR1428 provides a raking width from 22 ft (6.7 m) to 28 ft (8.5 m), giving operators flexibility to match the rake to crop conditions, field requirements and desired windrow size. Windrow width is adjustable from 36 in (91.4 cm) to 72 in (182.9 cm). Fourteen 55-in (139.7-cm) rake wheels, each fitted with 40 teeth, gather material across the full working width.

Hydraulic suspension and lift cylinders are provided on each rake wheel. The wheel float range helps the rake follow field contours, while a nitrogen-charged accumulator allows rake-wheel pressure adjustment. These features are supported by hydraulic flotation and a hydraulic drive system for controlled operation across the working area.
