Cutting Performance and Design

The TM810 uses eight discs operating at 2,797 rpm, with a cutting-height range of 1.3–3 in (3.2–7.6 cm). The low-profile cutter bar is designed to support a clean, consistent cut while helping minimize streaking. Manual turnbuckle angle adjustment allows the mower angle to be set for operating conditions, and the 15 in (38.1 cm) cutter bar lift height clearance provides clearance when the cutter bar is raised.

For blade servicing, the standard Quick-Clip blade retention system is designed for convenient blade retention and replacement. The cutter bar is protected by a standard driveline friction-disc clutch, while the rubber-torsion suspension design helps absorb shock and allows cutter-bar flotation over changing ground conditions.

Hydraulic and Operating Features

The mower includes a hydraulic swing cylinder to assist with maneuvering around obstacles. Hydraulic requirements are two double-acting circuits, operating at 1,250 psi (86.2 bar) and 6 gpm (22.7 L/min). One double-acting circuit is possible with the optional kit. An optional swathboard can be used for swath formation, while standard modular independent skid shoes support the cutter-bar design. Optional topping skid shoes and wear skids are also available.

Tractor Requirements

The Vermeer TM810 connects using a drawbar and requires a tractor equipped with a 540-rpm PTO. The minimum tractor power requirement is 55 hp (41 kW), with 60 hp (44.7 kW) recommended PTO horsepower.
