The Vermeer TM120 8-Disc Trailed Mower is a 12 ft (3.7 m) trailed disc mower designed for efficient hay and forage cutting with tractors delivering a recommended 65 hp (48.5 kW) at the PTO. Its Q3® cutter bar uses eight 23 in (58.4 cm) discs and 16 blades to provide a 12 ft cutting width, while hydraulic pitch control allows the cut height to be adjusted from 1–3 in (2.5–7.6 cm). A drawbar with swivel gearbox supports trailed operation, and the mower can alternatively be configured for a category II or III N 2-point hitch with swivel gearbox. With hydraulic suspension, hydraulic swing, Quick-Clip® blade retention, Quick-Change™ shear ring protection and standard highway lights, the TM120 is suited to field mowing and road transport between work areas.

Efficient 8-Disc Cutting Performance

The TM120 combines an eight-disc Q3® cutter bar with a 12 ft cutting width and 12.8 ft (3.9 m) working width. The discs operate at 2,700 rpm and are driven by a 540 rpm PTO, helping provide a productive cutting setup for hay and forage operations. Hydraulic pitch control enables the operator to set the cutting angle, while the specified cut-height range of 1–3 in supports adjustment for differing field conditions.

Hydraulic Suspension and Swivel Operation

Nitrogen-charged hydraulic suspension is designed to help the mower follow the field surface while the hydraulic swing cylinder supports movement between working and transport positions. The drawbar swivel gearbox and hitch arrangement provide compatibility with tractors equipped for swivel operation. A hydraulic cutter bar lift provides 16 in (40.6 cm) of clearance, and the mower has a 50 in (127 cm) swung-out offset.

The Vermeer TM120 requires a tractor with a recommended 65 hp (48.5 kW) of PTO power and a 540 rpm PTO. Compatible tractor configurations include a drawbar with swivel gearbox or a category II or III N 2-point hitch with swivel gearbox.

The tractor hydraulic system must provide two remote hydraulic connections: one single-acting connection for lift and one double-acting connection for swing. The specified hydraulic requirements are 1,900 psi (131 bar) and 6 gpm (22.7 L/min).
