The MS300G provides 300 cu ft (8.5 cu m) of heaped capacity and supports a maximum net load of 19,000 lb. With a maximum spread width of 52 ft (15.8 m), it is designed for broad field coverage. The twin vertical augers, boron flighting, and heat-treated boron teeth form the core of the spreading system, while the floor chain and full-width floor slats move material through the body.

Construction and Service Features

A fully welded body provides the main structural enclosure for the spreader. The floor drive is specified as RT350/50 and uses a 5/8-in (16-mm) floor chain. The floor plate is 0.19 in (5 mm) thick, and the side plates are 0.16 in (4 mm) thick. A one-piece gearbox and heavy-duty 80-grade chain support the drive system, while ground-level greasing helps make regular lubrication more accessible.

Tractor Requirements

The supplied variant is specified for tractors with a 540-rpm PTO. The MS300 family is also compatible with tractors using a 1,000-rpm PTO. Vermeer recommends a tractor PTO output of 80 hp (59.7 kW). Hydraulic operation requires two double-acting hydraulic circuits with 20 gpm (80 L/min) flow.
