The Vermeer MC90 Mower Conditioner – 9 ft Cut, Rubber Roll, 540 RPM, 2-Point Swivel [MC9501701] is a trailed mower conditioner designed for clean, consistent cutting and fast dry-down. This configuration combines a 9-ft (2.7-m) cutting width with an intermeshing rubber-roller conditioner, a 540-rpm PTO drive, and a 2-point swivel gearbox hookup. The MC90 is suited to hay and forage operations requiring controlled cutting height, conditioning, windrow placement, and transport flexibility. Its Q3® cutter bar, hydraulic pitch control, nitrogen-charged accumulator suspension, and standard blade and shear-protection systems support productive field operation.

Conditioning and Cutting Performance

The MC90 uses a Q3® cutter bar with six 23-in (58.4-cm) discs and 12 blades. Hydraulic pitch control allows the cutting angle to be adjusted, while the cut-height range of 1–8 in (2.5–20 cm) supports different forage and field requirements. Quick-Clip® blade retention is standard, as is the Quick-Change™ shear ring for shear protection.

For this product configuration, the conditioner uses intermeshing rubber rollers. The conditioner is 83 in (210.8 cm) wide, with 9.3-in (23.6-cm) rollers turning at 740 rpm. A 4-band banded V-belt drives the conditioner, and the windrow width can be set from 36–82 in (91.4–208.3 cm).

Hitch, Hydraulics, and Suspension

This MC90 configuration features a 2-point swivel gearbox hitch for Category II or III N connections. The mower conditioner requires two double-acting hydraulic circuits, with hydraulic specifications of 1,900 psi (131 bar) and 6 gpm (22.7 L/min). A nitrogen-charged accumulator suspension system is included to support the machine during operation.

Tractor Requirements

Operate the Vermeer MC90 with a tractor equipped for a 540-rpm PTO and capable of providing at least 65 hp (48.5 kW). The tractor must also provide a compatible 2-point Category II or III N hookup and the required two double-acting hydraulic circuits at the specified pressure and flow rate.
