Description

Vermeer FM110 Front Mower – 10.9 ft Cut, No Conditioner is a front-mounted mower designed for efficient forage cutting and flexible mowing operations. This Vermeer FM110 configuration uses a gear-bed cutter bar without a conditioner, providing a 10.9-ft (3.3-m) cutting width and a listed no-conditioner weight of 1,980 lb (898.1 kg). It is suited to tractors equipped with a front CAT II 3-point hitch, a 1,000-rpm PTO and the required hydraulic circuit. The FM110 can be used as a standalone front mower or paired with the Vermeer CM295 combination mower for a triple-mower setup. Swath wheels are available for swath formation in the no-conditioner configuration.

Efficient Front-Mounted Cutting

The FM110 is engineered for forage flow, ground adaptation and serviceability. Its gear-bed cutter bar uses eight discs and 16 blades to provide a 10.9-ft cutting width, while specially shaped 4-mm cutter-bar pods help support rapid forage flow. Hydraulic suspension helps the mower follow ground contours, and the pull-type front hitch provides more than 20 in (51 cm) of vertical movement.

For durability in demanding mowing conditions, the cutter-bar pods and wear skids use abrasion-resistant Hardox steel. Standard wear skids help protect the mower during operation, while optional topping skids are available. Reversible blades can extend usability, and the Quick Clip blade-retention system supports quick blade replacement. Quick-Change shear protection, using a shear ring with four brass pins, helps protect the cutter bar.

Tractor Requirements and Compatibility

The Vermeer FM110 requires a tractor with a front CAT II 3-point hitch and a 1,000-rpm PTO. Vermeer lists recommended PTO horsepower values of 70 hp (52.2 kW) and 80 hp (60 kW) for the FM110. The tractor must also provide either one single-acting hydraulic circuit with float or one double-acting hydraulic circuit with a float option. The listed hydraulic pressure requirement is 2,030 psi (140 bar).

The FM110 is compatible with the Vermeer CM295 combination mower for a triple-mower setup. Confirm that the tractor meets the hitch, PTO, horsepower and hydraulic requirements before operation.
