Description
The Vermeer CM295 Combination Mower with Steel Flail Conditioner delivers a 29.3-ft (8.9 m) cutting width and 32-ft (9.7 m) working width for high-capacity hay and forage mowing. Designed for rear three-point tractor mounting, the CM295 combines a gear bed cutter bar with two steel V-tine flail conditioners to cut and condition in one pass. Hydraulic suspension on each side helps the mower follow changing terrain, while the breakaway system helps protect the cutter bar when encountering obstacles. With reversible blades, abrasion-resistant components, hydraulic sequential lifting, and standard highway lights, the CM295 is suited to demanding field operations and can be used with the Vermeer FM110 front mower in a triple-mower configuration.
Efficient Cutting and Conditioning
The CM295 uses a 16-disc gear bed cutter bar with 32 blades and a disc speed of 3,000 rpm. The cutting height is adjustable from 1.6 to 2.8 in (4 to 7 cm), supporting different forage and field conditions. Two 105-in (2.7 m) steel V-tine flail conditioners process the cut crop across the mower’s working width. Each conditioner has a 19-in (49 cm) diameter and is driven by three V-belts.
Conditioner speed is standard at 1,000 rpm, with an optional 750-rpm setting. Swath shields or fins provide swath formation, with windrow widths adjustable from a minimum of 75 in (1.9 m) to a maximum of 106 in (2.7 m) for each conditioner.
