Vermeer 605N Round Baler – 5' x 6', 1,000 RPM, Twine, Netwrap, Ramp and Flotation Tires is a high-capacity variable-chamber round hay baler designed for producing dense, consistent bales in a wide range of crop and moisture conditions. This exact 605N3022 configuration combines Vermeer’s open-throat vertical bale chamber with an 8-belt forming system, twine tie, netwrap, hydraulic bale ramp and flotation tires. With a 77-inch pickup, 61-inch bale width and adjustable bale diameters from 36 to 72 inches, it is suited to demanding haymaking operations requiring flexible bale sizing and efficient field productivity.

Built for High-Capacity Baling

The Vermeer 605N uses a variable-chamber design to form 36- to 72-inch-diameter round bales with a fixed 61-inch bale width. Its open-throat vertical chamber is supported by eight 6.8-inch-wide belts, providing the bale-forming configuration required for 5-foot by 6-foot-class production.

An approximately 77-inch tooth-to-tooth pickup width gathers windrows efficiently, while the 90-inch outside-flair width provides the full pickup envelope. The baler also includes an E-Link Pro display, hydraulic density system, hydraulic pickup lift, moisture sensing and bale-shape indicators to support bale monitoring and adjustment during operation.

Twine, Netwrap and Bale Handling

This configuration includes both twine tie and netwrap systems, allowing the operator to select the appropriate bale-securement method for the crop, handling requirements and storage conditions. The twine system uses a single-arm, multiple-outlet feed mechanism with spring-loaded plate twine tension. It accommodates six balls with four-ball extra storage.

The netwrap system feeds material onto the main belts through a friction-pan design. A brake system varies netwrap tension, and the system supports standard and over-width netwrap capability with storage for one additional roll.

After tying, the included hydraulic bale ramp helps discharge completed bales from the baler. Flotation tires are also included in this configuration, supporting the 129-inch transport width listed for the machine.
