The Vermeer 604S Premium Round Baler is a variable-chamber baler designed to produce consistent, dense 4-ft-wide round bales across a broad range of bale sizes. Consistent Bale Formation and Density

The 604S Premium uses six premium mini rough-top belts to form bales while maintaining consistent belt pressure throughout the baling process. In-cab density adjustment allows the operator to adjust bale formation from the tractor cab, helping tailor bale density to operating conditions and handling requirements. Standard moisture monitoring supports monitoring of crop moisture levels up to 29% during baling.

The variable-chamber design produces 47-inch-wide bales with diameters from 36 to 72 inches. Maximum bale weight is listed at 2,400 lb, depending on crop and operating conditions. The standard hydraulic bale ramp assists with bale discharge after wrapping.

Pickup and Crop Handling

A camless wide pickup provides a 69-inch tooth-to-tooth working width and an 82-inch outside-flare width. The pickup uses five tooth bars and 70 double rubber-mounted teeth to gather the windrow. The wide pickup configuration is designed to support efficient crop collection across a broad swath.

Controls, Wrapping and Maintenance

The Atlas Pro control system features a 7-inch color touchscreen for operating and monitoring the baler. Standard mechanical netwrap provides integrated bale wrapping capability. The supplied product configuration includes netwrap and Slope Sense, while the machine also includes standard LED maintenance lights for improved visibility around service areas. Vermeer lists an Auto Lube greasing system as standard to support routine lubrication requirements.
