HLA Attachments TE5049BO500 Three-Prong Bale Spear is a heavy-duty, loader-mounted attachment designed for handling large 4 ft × 4 ft × 8 ft square bales. Its three 49-inch Kverneland tines provide 44 inches of usable length for secure bale engagement, while the 50-inch-wide frame supports stable handling. Rated for 5,000 lb at a 24-inch load center, this configuration includes a BO500 skid-steer quick-attach mount for use with compatible loaders.

Heavy-Duty Square-Bale Handling

The TE5049BO500 is built specifically for moving large square bales. Three main tines are spaced 23 inches apart across the frame, providing multiple points of engagement with the bale. This three-prong design helps support controlled handling during routine hay and bale-moving work.

Each Kverneland tine measures 49 inches long, with 44 inches of usable length. The attachment has a rated capacity of 5,000 lb measured at a 24-inch load center. Operators must account for the attachment’s capacity, load-center rating, and the lifting limits of the carrier when handling bales.

Skid-Steer Quick-Attach Configuration

This model uses HLA Attachments’ BO500 mounting configuration, which is a skid-steer quick-attach mount. It is intended for compatible skid-steer-style loader interfaces, allowing the bale spear to be connected as a loader-mounted hay-handling attachment.

The TE5049BO500 is equipped with a BO500 skid-steer quick-attach mount. Confirm that the carrier has a compatible skid-steer quick-attach interface and adequate operating capacity for the attachment, bale weight, and specified load center before use.

Operating Restriction

This bale spear is designed for handling one large square bale at a time. It is not approved for carrying two bales stacked vertically. Do not use the attachment to transport two bales stacked on top of one another.
