HLA Attachments SLG96 96-Inch Laser Grader is a precision grading attachment designed for skid steers with a universal quick-attach interface. Its push-pull configuration allows the operator to grade while travelling forward or in reverse, making it well suited to preparing and levelling large areas where consistent results and efficient material control are important. An oscillating pneumatic-wheel front axle follows changing ground contours, while two hydraulic cross-slope cylinders provide the adjustment needed for slope-control applications. When paired with suitable laser and grade-control electronics, the SLG96 is designed to level consistently within 1/4 inch of the target grade.

Precision Grading in Either Direction

The SLG96 uses a push-pull design that permits grading in both forward and reverse. This gives the operator flexibility when working in confined areas or making repeated passes across a site. Its 96-inch nominal grading width provides broad coverage, while the reversible cutting edges support productive material cutting and levelling from either operating direction.

Cross-slope adjustment is handled by two 2-1/2-inch by 6-inch hydraulic cylinders. A control valve is included with the grader, providing the foundation for grade-control operation. The attachment also features a universal laser-mast mount for integrating compatible grading equipment. Laser receivers and other grade-control electronics are not included and must be supplied separately.

Ground-Following Wheel and Axle Design

The grader is supported by pneumatic swivel wheels equipped with tapered roller bearings on the king pins. An oscillating front axle allows the wheel assembly to respond to uneven terrain rather than holding the grader rigidly against changing surface conditions. Tapered roller bearings are also used at the axle oscillation pivot.

To help maintain the main oscillation-pivot wear joint, the SLG96 includes removable shims. These allow the joint to be kept tight as wear occurs, supporting consistent operation over the attachment’s service life.

Compatibility

The HLA Attachments SLG96 is compatible with skid steers equipped with a universal skid-steer quick-attach interface. Laser receivers and grade-control electronics are required for laser-controlled grading but are not supplied with the attachment. Hydraulic flow and pressure requirements are not specified.
