HLA Attachments 84-inch Heavy Duty High Volume Skid Steer Bucket – Long Lip is a large-capacity, reinforced bucket designed for skid-steer loaders and other machines equipped with a universal skid-steer quick-attach carrier. Supplied in the SBHV8440HDBO500 configuration, it combines an 84-inch inside width, 40.5 cu ft SAE heaped capacity, heavy 1/4-inch construction and a long-lip profile. Reinforcement around the top lip, round back and end plates provides strength, while the bucket’s tapered, self-cleaning ends and rounded interior help promote easy filling and cleanout.

Heavy-Duty High-Volume Construction

The SBHV8440HDBO500 is built with 1/4-inch main bucket material and 1/4-inch end plates. Its reinforced top lip adds rigidity across the bucket’s width, while the reinforced round back and end plates support demanding material-handling work. The round-back design also helps material move smoothly into and out of the bucket.

A 3/4 x 6-inch beveled cutting edge provides a substantial working edge for loading and cleanup. The bucket is also drilled to accept a standard bolt-on cutting edge, providing a replaceable cutting-edge provision when required.

Long-Lip Design and Generous Capacity

With a 38-inch depth and long-lip heavy-duty configuration, this HLA bucket provides substantial carrying volume. It offers a struck capacity of 33.1 cu ft and an SAE heaped capacity of 40.5 cu ft. The 84-inch inside width provides broad coverage, while the flat top can be used as a visual level indicator to help the operator judge bucket position.

Tapered, self-cleaning end plates are designed to reduce material buildup around the sides of the bucket. Together with the reinforced round back, this construction supports easier filling and cleaner discharge.
