HLA Attachments SSB72BO500 72-Inch Side-Discharge Sand Bucket is a hydraulically powered material-handling attachment designed to discharge sand from either side of the carrier machine. Combining a 72-inch inside width with a 1-cubic-yard heaped capacity, it enables operators to place material alongside the machine without relying solely on forward dumping. A hydraulically driven beater promotes consistent material flow and helps prevent bridging, while the 12-inch conveyor belt uses mini cleats to move material toward the selected discharge side. This model includes the BO500 bolt-on quick-attach configuration for compatible skid-steer/universal-style loader carriers.

Controlled Side Discharge

The SSB72 can discharge material from either side of the machine, providing flexibility when placing sand along paths, edges, or other areas where conventional bucket dumping may be less convenient. Its direct-coupled hydraulic drive powers the conveyor system without an additional mechanical driveline.

On this 72-inch model, two hydraulic motors drive the discharge belt. The dual-motor arrangement works with the 12-inch-wide belt and mini cleats to convey material from the bucket. A separate hydraulic motor powers the beater, helping maintain material flow and reducing the likelihood of bridging inside the bucket.

Conveyor Protection and Reliable Startup

A built-in belt shield keeps the weight of the loaded material off the conveyor belt. This design reduces strain on the conveyor during startup and allows the belt to begin moving before it takes the full material load. The feature is particularly useful when starting discharge with a filled bucket.

The bucket body measures 34 inches high by 50 inches long and provides a 1-cubic-yard heaped capacity. Its calculated outside width is approximately 74.5 inches, based on the manufacturer’s rule of adding 2.5 inches to the 72-inch inside width. Approximate attachment weight is 1,085 pounds.
