Description

HLA Attachments SGBC54BO500 54-inch Compact Scrap Grapple Bucket combines a compact bucket profile with hydraulic grapple control for material-handling applications. Configured with the BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach mount, this model has a 54-inch inside width, an approximately 56-inch outside width and a single grapple arm powered by an included 2-1/2 x 8-inch hydraulic cylinder. Its compact 26-inch overall height and 26-inch overall depth make it a practical hydraulic attachment for compatible quick-attach loaders and carriers.

Compact Hydraulic Material Handling

The SGBC54 is designed as a compact scrap grapple bucket with useful capacity and a hydraulically operated grapple arm. The bucket provides 8.1 cubic feet of struck capacity and 10.4 cubic feet of SAE heaped capacity. Its grapple opens to approximately 35–36 inches, providing clearance for loading and handling material before the arm closes to retain the load.

The bucket is manufactured from 3/16-inch material and uses 1/4-inch end plates. A 3/4 x 4-inch beveled cutting edge reinforces the working edge, and the bucket is also drilled to accept a standard bolt-on cutting edge. At approximately 465 lb, the attachment delivers a compact format while retaining the structural features required for grapple-bucket work.

BO500 Quick-Attach Compatibility

This configuration uses HLA Attachments’ BO500 quick-attach mounting code. It is intended for skid-steer-style quick-attach loader and carrier applications listed by HLA for the BO500 interface. Confirm that the loader or carrier has the correct BO500-compatible quick-attach interface before ordering or installation.

Hydraulic Requirements

The hydraulic cylinder is included with the grapple bucket. Hydraulic flow, pressure and coupler requirements are not specified. HLA lists optional HK90 or HK9090 90-inch hydraulic hose kits with flat-faced couplers. Verify the host machine’s hydraulic connections and hose requirements before use.
