Description

The Greenworks Commercial 82V OPTIMUS HOGSAW 5.0 kW 28" Chainsaw Kit delivers high-output cutting performance from the Greenworks Commercial 82V OPTIMUS battery platform. Model OCS800-C5DP-28 produces up to 5.0 kW of maximum power, providing performance equivalent to an 80 cc gasoline chainsaw, while avoiding the need for a petrol engine. This complete kit includes one CORE530 battery, a dual-port charger, and a 28-inch bar and chain, making it a substantial battery-powered chainsaw package for demanding cutting applications.

High-Output Battery Chainsaw Performance

The OPTIMUS HOGSAW combines a magnesium alloy construction with Greenworks Commercial battery technology for a robust professional chainsaw platform. Its 28-inch bar is configured for the supplied chain and provides the reach required for larger cutting tasks. The 82V battery system supplies the platform voltage, while the included CORE530 battery and dual-port charger provide the essential components to operate and recharge the kit.

Operational features are designed to support controlled cutting and machine awareness. A mechanical and electronic inertia-actuated chain brake provides the specified chain-braking system, while metal bucking spikes help maintain contact during cutting. Molded-in felling sights assist with positioning, and an HMI technology display provides an onboard interface for machine information.

Cooling, Lubrication and Protection

Vortex Air-Duct Technology supports the chainsaw’s cooling system, and advanced air filtration is included among the machine’s features. Chain lubrication is handled by an adjustable auto-oiler paired with a magnesium oil tank. The oil tank has a capacity of 12.8 oz / 380 ml, allowing the lubrication system to be configured for the cutting application.

The chainsaw has an IPX5 ingress-protection rating and uses magnesium alloy construction. These features form part of the specified design for the OPTIMUS HOGSAW and complement its high-output battery-powered configuration.
