For heavier vegetation, the included 12-inch tri-blade provides a 12-inch brush-cutter working width. At the centre of the TB201 is a 2.0 kW commercial motor operating on the Greenworks Commercial 82V battery platform. The manufacturer describes its performance as equivalent to a 45cc gas machine. Three speed settings and a variable-speed trigger allow the operator to adjust output for the task, helping provide controlled cutting across grass, brush, and saw-blade applications. The specified no-load speeds are 5,500 ±10% min⁻¹ for the string trimmer, 5,500 ±10% min⁻¹ for the brush cutter, and 8,000 ±10% min⁻¹ for the brush saw.
