Description

The Greenworks Commercial OptimusZ 52" Stand-On Zero-Turn Mower CZ52S24X combines an integrated 24 kWh battery with commercial-grade cutting and drive technology for efficient, high-output mowing. Designed for professional grounds maintenance, landscaping, and large property applications, this stand-on zero-turn mower delivers up to 65 HP gas-equivalent power, mowing speeds up to 12 mph, and claimed coverage of up to 21 acres or 8 hours per charge. Its 52-inch heavy-duty 7-gauge custom fabricated steel deck, direct-drive cutting motors, smart drive system, and low-maintenance electric design support productive mowing without gasoline, filters, or engine maintenance.

Commercial Battery-Powered Performance

The OptimusZ is equipped with an integrated 24 kWh battery and a 19K Constant Smart Cutting System featuring three 1.8 kW direct-drive cutting motors. This configuration provides a blade tip speed of 19,000 FPM and is designed to maintain cutting performance for demanding commercial mowing tasks. With a maximum mowing speed of up to 12 mph and a stated slope capability of up to 15 degrees, the mower is built for efficient operation across substantial mowing areas.

Greenworks Commercial’s PowrTraq Smart Drive System works with commercial-grade hub wheel motors and maintenance-free drive motors to provide a purpose-built electric drive platform. The ultra-low-profile commercial-grade brushless motors help support the mower’s stand-on layout while eliminating the need for gasoline, filters, and engine maintenance.

Heavy-Duty Cutting Deck

The 52-inch custom fabricated steel deck is constructed from heavy-duty 7-gauge steel for commercial use. A two-piece deck-height system provides 17 deck height positions, while bolt-on, replaceable deck baffles and rollers are designed to support serviceability. The deck is driven by the mower’s three direct-drive cutting motors, forming part of the integrated 19K Constant Smart Cutting System.

Operator-Focused Design and Technology

The stand-on configuration provides a compact operating position with premium leg pads and suspension standing plates for operator support. High-visibility glove-safe touchscreen controls provide access to mower information and operating functions, while real-time 4G/GPS connectivity supports connected commercial equipment management. Side-facing pod LED lights add visibility around the mower during operation.

The mower also includes an ETO system with a maximum output of 10 HP, supporting compatible electrical accessories within that stated output limit. Industry-leading pneumatic casters contribute to the commercial chassis design.

Charging Options

The standard charging specification is 240 V, 15 A, and 3.3 kW, with an approximate charging time of 8 hours for the 24 kWh battery. An optional fast-charging specification operates at 240 V, 33 A, and 8 kW, reducing the approximate charge time to 3 hours. The Greenworks Commercial C80SC Super Charging System is specified at AC 240 V, 31 A, and 7.7 kW input with DC 80 A output.
