The Wallenstein LXG430S 72" Skid-Steer Spring-Centered Log Grapple is designed for handling logs and other demanding material-handling tasks with skid-steer loaders equipped with a standard quick-attach interface. Its 72-inch maximum grapple opening, 21,000 lb grapple-cylinder clamp force, and 4,500 lb boom lift capacity provide substantial holding and lifting capability for forestry, land-clearing, and log-handling applications. The LXG430S configuration features a 180° lockable spring-centered return, allowing the grapple to twist while turning and return to a straight position when grabbing logs. A universal skid-steer mounting plate supports installation on compatible skid-steer machines.

The LXG430S is an LXG400-series skid-steer grapple with a 72-inch / 183 cm opening. Its spring-centered design helps the grapple follow the machine during turns while returning to a centered position for log pickup. The grapple operates across a 3- to 72-inch range, providing flexibility when handling material of different sizes.

Built for Skid-Steer Log Handling

With its wide opening and high clamp force, the Wallenstein LXG430S is suited to skid-steer work where logs must be gripped, lifted, repositioned, or transported. The 180° spring-centered return is a defining feature of the S configuration. The grapple can twist when the skid steer turns, then remain straight when positioning around logs, supporting controlled pickup and handling.

The standard skid-steer quick attach and universal mounting plate are intended for compatible skid-steer loaders. Before operation, confirm that the loader’s attachment interface, hydraulic system, rated capacity, and operating conditions are suitable for the grapple.

Compatibility and Machine Requirements

The LXG430S is designed to mount on skid-steer loaders with a standard skid-steer quick-attach interface. The recommended machine range is 70-100 HP. It requires a hydraulic flow of 5-10 gallons per minute, a published hydraulic pressure of 3,000 psi, and an open-center hydraulic circuit.
