The BRABER MAS-GIRAFFAS160 Giraffa S 3-Point PTO Boom Flail Ditch Mower is a professional offset mowing system for tractors rated at approximately 25–35 PTO horsepower. Designed around the Maschio Giraffa boom mower configuration, it combines a 61-inch working width with hydraulic side or incline offset, allowing mowing in ditches, along slopes, beside field edges, and in other areas that are difficult to reach with a conventional rear-mounted mower. A 540 rpm PTO, Category 1 three-point hitch, side belt drive, full-width roller, safety shields, skid shoes, and standard hammer blades provide a practical setup for maintaining vegetation and cutting material up to 3/4 inch thick, subject to tractor horsepower and material density.

Professional Offset Mowing Performance

The MAS-GIRAFFAS160 is built for versatile ditch and verge maintenance where the mower head needs to work outside the tractor’s direct path. Its hydraulic system provides side or incline offset, while the mowing head can operate through an angle range of -65° to +90°. This adjustment helps position the mower for banks, inclines, drainage ditches, and roadside vegetation without requiring the tractor to travel directly over the mowing area.

The flail mowing system uses standard hammer blades, upper and lower counter-blades, and a full-width roller to support consistent cutting and ground-following performance. Front safety shields and skid shoes are included as part of the mowing head design. The side belt drive transfers power to the cutter assembly, and the supplied constant-velocity PTO shaft and standard PTO yoke connect the mower to a compatible tractor.
