Built for Versatile Broadcast Spreading

The BE-PFS400G is designed to broadcast a range of commonly used dry materials. PTO power drives the spinner while the bottom-drop feed directs material from the hopper to the spreading mechanism. This configuration supports distribution of fertilizer, seed, lime, sand, ice melt, and similar materials for field, pasture, property, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance work.

The heavy-duty poly hopper provides corrosion-resistant material handling, while the stainless-steel insert reinforces wear areas around the gate and spinner. These construction features are suited to applications where the spreader may be exposed to fertilizer, lime, salt-based ice melt, moisture, and other potentially corrosive materials.

Adjustable Manual Operation

Manual controls allow the operator to manage the spreading setup and select from three spread patterns. The 540 RPM PTO drive is the specified operating speed for the BE-PFS400G. The applicable operator manual states an approximately ±20 RPM tolerance for calibration guidance, helping operators set up the spreader according to the intended operating speed.

For materials prone to bridging or clumping, the spreader accepts the optional BE-AGI agitator kit. Fitment and availability should be confirmed with the dealer before ordering the kit.

Tractor Compatibility and Requirements

The BE-PFS400G uses a Category 1 3-point hitch and is compatible with most Category I tractors. It may also fit some larger Category 0 tractors. Larger Category II tractors can be used when their lift arms narrow to 26 inches.

Tractor compatibility should be checked before operation, including hitch category, lift-arm spacing, available lifting capacity, and PTO configuration. The spreader requires a 540 RPM PTO operating speed. No minimum or maximum PTO horsepower rating is specified for this product.
