10" PTO DRVN CHIPPER, HYD FEED

The Wallenstein BX102RI 10" PTO-Driven Hydraulic Feed Wood Chipper is a tractor-mounted chipping solution for processing branches and woody material with a chipping capacity of up to 10 inches. Designed for Category II 3-point hitch tractors, it combines PTO direct drive with dual hydraulic feed rollers and Wallenstein IntelliFEED / P3 PULSE electronic feed control. IntelliFEED provides electronic feed control and rapid-recovery automatic reverse, while the folding feed table, rotating discharge hood, emergency-stop control, reversible knives, and dual-blade twig breaker support practical operation for demanding property maintenance, land clearing, and wood-processing applications.

Hydraulic Feed and IntelliFEED Control

The BX102RI uses dual hydraulic feed rollers to draw material into the chipper, with the tractor supplying 4–8 gpm (15–30 L/min) of hydraulic flow. The IntelliFEED / P3 PULSE system provides electronic feed control and rapid-recovery automatic reverse to help manage the feed process. IntelliFEED requires a 12 VDC, 2 A electrical connection from the tractor.

Chipping System

A 36-inch rotor fitted with four knives supports the BX102RI’s 10-inch chipping capacity. The 10-inch by 17-inch housing opening accommodates the stated material capacity, while reversible rotor knives and a dual-blade twig breaker are included in the chipping system. The discharge hood rotates through 360 degrees to help direct processed material where required.

Tractor Requirements

The Wallenstein BX102RI is designed for use with Category II 3-point hitch tractors. The BX102R family has a tractor horsepower range of 65–150 hp, with 80–90 hp required for maximum capacity for the BX102RI/BX102RPI configuration. The verified product requirement specifies a maximum PTO horsepower rating of 120 hp. The chipper uses a PTO direct-drive system with a rated PTO speed of 540–1000 rpm; the supplied product requirements identify 540 RPM operation.
