Description

The Wallenstein WXR740 27-Ton Horizontal/Vertical Log Splitter is a gasoline-powered, towable splitter built for efficient firewood processing at home, on the property, or wherever logs need to be handled. Powered by a Vanguard 6.5 hp (203 cc) engine, it delivers 27 tons of split force through a self-contained hydraulic system. Its horizontal and vertical operating positions provide flexibility for different log sizes and handling conditions, while Firebolt technology, a wide wedge, direct-pressure hydraulics, and hands-free return support productive splitting cycles. This supplied variant is the orange WXR740-ORA.

Reliable 27-Ton Splitting Performance

The WXR740 is designed to provide substantial splitting force for demanding firewood work. Its 4.5-inch cylinder and 10-inch wedge height work with the 27-ton hydraulic system to process logs through a 24-inch split opening. The two-stage hydraulic pump helps support efficient operation, with an average splitter cycle time of 5.35 seconds and a full cycle time of 11 seconds.

Horizontal and Vertical Operation

Switch between horizontal and vertical splitting positions to suit the work at hand. Horizontal operation is useful for conventional loading and splitting, while vertical operation can help reduce the need to lift larger or heavier logs onto the bed. The 27-inch bed height provides a defined working platform for splitting tasks.

Towable, Self-Contained Design
