Description

Wallenstein FX140S Skidding Winch is a PTO-driven forestry winch designed for tractors in the 80–120 HP range. With a 14,000 lb (6,350 kg) pulling capacity, synthetic rope, a mechanical dry disc clutch, and a Category II mounting system, it provides a practical solution for skidding logs and other demanding pulling applications. The FX140S combines a 200 ft (60 m) synthetic rope with two choker chains and two keyhole sliders, giving operators a capable setup for moving material in forestry and land-management work.

Built for High-Capacity Skidding

The FX140S is rated to pull up to 14,000 lb, making it suitable for substantial skidding requirements when matched with an appropriate tractor. Its synthetic rope is 1/2 in (13 mm) in diameter and measures 200 ft (60 m) in length, providing useful reach between the tractor and the load. The winch is driven through the tractor’s PTO at a specified input speed of 540 rpm.

A mechanical winch design and dry disc clutch provide the operating configuration specified by Wallenstein. The line speed is rated from 98–246 ft/min (30–75 m/min). A manual pull rope is included among the key features, along with two choker chains for securing loads during skidding operations.
