Description

WALLENSTEIN BXMC3409B Chipper/Shredder with Blower is a gravity-feed, towable and self-contained cart chipper/shredder designed for processing branches, brush and other suitable yard material. Powered by a Vanguard 10 hp (305 cc) gasoline engine, this machine combines a 3 in (8 cm) chipping capacity with a 3/4 in (1.9 cm) shredding capacity. Its blower discharge helps direct processed material away from the machine, while the integrated shredder hopper, heavy-duty rotor and reversible rotor knives support versatile material handling for property maintenance, landscaping and cleanup work.

Efficient Chipping and Shredding

The BXMC3409B uses a gravity-feed system and a disc-style chipper to process material up to 3 in (8 cm) in diameter. A separate integrated shredder hopper accepts suitable material for reduction through a hammer mill, with a shredding capacity of 3/4 in (1.9 cm). This dual-function design provides one machine for both chipping and shredding applications.

Wallenstein’s Chop-Block Technology, oversized heavy-duty rotor and reversible rotor knives are designed into the machine’s processing system. The rotor measures 16 in (41 cm) in diameter and weighs 40 lb (18 kg). A positional discharge deflector helps direct the blower discharge to the desired location during operation.

Designed for Practical Material Processing

The chipper infeed opening measures 3 in x 5 in (8 cm x 13 cm), while the chipper hopper opening measures 10 in x 10 in (25 cm x 25 cm). The larger shredder hopper opening measures 25 in x 25 in (64 cm x 64 cm), with a shredder housing opening of 6 in x 7 in (15 cm x 18 cm). These dedicated openings support the machine’s separate chipping and shredding functions.

The brake clutch and belt-drive system transfers power from the engine to the processing components. The engine operates at 3,600 rpm, while the rotor speed is 2,180 rpm. With a 0.95 US gal (3.6 L) fuel tank, the machine is configured as a self-contained gasoline-powered unit rather than a PTO-driven implement.
