The Wallenstein BXC34 3 in Chipper is a gravity-feed, gasoline-powered cart wood chipper designed for processing branches and brush up to 3 in (8 cm) in diameter. Its Vanguard 6.5 hp (203 cc) engine drives a 17 in (43 cm) heavy-duty disc rotor equipped with two reversible knives, providing a practical setup for property maintenance, landscaping, and cleanup work. The compact cart design supports manual movement, while the jockey wheel and clevis hitch allow connection to a small tow vehicle for positioning around the work area. Roadway towing is prohibited.

Efficient Gravity-Feed Chipping

The BXC34 uses a gravity-feed system that guides material through its wide 4 in x 4 in (10 cm x 10 cm) infeed opening. A 3 in (8 cm) chipping capacity accommodates suitable branches and brush, while the 18 in x 18 in (46 cm x 46 cm) hopper opening provides a generous entry area for loading material. The integrated twig breaker helps process smaller branches and twigs, supporting consistent feeding during cleanup tasks.

Heavy-Duty Disc Rotor

At the centre of the chipping system is an oversized 17 in (43 cm) disc rotor weighing 28 lb (13 kg). The rotor operates at 2,480 rpm and uses two reversible rotor knives. Reversible knives provide an additional cutting edge when the first edge requires service, helping make maintenance more practical. The brake clutch and belt-drive system transfers power from the Vanguard engine to the chipper rotor.

Convenient Discharge and Transport

A positional discharge deflector helps direct the chipped material to the preferred discharge area. The BXC34 has a total weight of 213 lb (97 kg) and measures 49 in long x 35 in wide x 44 in high (124 cm x 89 cm x 112 cm). Its 35 in (89 cm) transport width and cart configuration support movement around a property. The unit can be moved manually, or connected through the jockey wheel's clevis hitch to a small tow vehicle for site positioning. It is not intended for roadway towing.
