Description

Wallenstein FX85RS Skidding Winch is a tractor PTO-driven skidding winch designed for woodlot management and timber handling. With an 8,500 lb (3,855 kg) pulling capacity, synthetic rope, and remote control, the FX85RS provides a capable setup for skidding logs and managing wood in suitable tractor applications. Its mechanical dry disc clutch, 200 ft (60 m) synthetic rope, two choker chains, and two keyhole sliders support practical load connection and winching operation. The winch is intended for tractors in the 30–55 HP range and uses a Category I mounting system.

Built for Woodlot Skidding

The FX85RS combines an 8,500 lb pulling capacity with a synthetic rope cable measuring 200 ft (60 m) in length. The 7/16 in (11 mm) cable diameter provides the specified rope size for the winch, while the included two choker chains and two keyhole sliders support connection of loads for skidding applications.

A mechanical, dry disc clutch provides the specified winch operating system. The line speed is rated from 96 to 238 ft/min (29 to 72 m/min), and the unit is designed for a 540 rpm PTO input. Remote control operation is included as part of the FX85RS configuration.

Tractor Requirements

The Wallenstein FX85RS is specified for tractors with an engine output range of 30–55 HP. It is a PTO-driven implement requiring a 540 rpm PTO input and a Category I mounting system. The required hydraulic flow is 1–2 gpm (4–8 lpm), equivalent to 4–8 lpm.
