Description

The Vermeer MC105 Mower Conditioner combines a 10.5-foot cutting width, Q3 cutter bar and intermeshing steel roller conditioner for efficient mowing and crop conditioning in hay operations. This MC105 configuration features a 540 rpm PTO drive, a 2-point swivel gearbox hitch for Category II or III N tractors, and a recommended tractor power requirement of 75 hp. With hydraulic suspension, adjustable down pressure, toolless hydraulic pitch adjustment and a flexible 1–8-inch cut-height range, it is designed for dependable field performance across a range of mowing conditions.

Efficient Cutting and Conditioning

The MC105 uses a Q3 cutter bar with seven 23-inch discs and 14 blades. The discs operate at 2,700 rpm to provide a 10.5-foot cutting width, while the intermeshing steel rollers condition the crop across a 102-inch conditioner width. Roller speed is 740 rpm, and the windrow width can be adjusted from 40 to 95 inches to suit crop handling and drying requirements.

Hydraulic suspension with adjustable down pressure helps support consistent operation in the field. The mower conditioner also includes toolless hydraulic pitch adjustment for convenient setup, along with a Quick-Clip blade retention system and Quick-Change shear ring to support practical service and maintenance.

Tractor Requirements

The Vermeer MC105 requires a tractor with a 540 rpm PTO and a recommended PTO output of 75 hp (55.9 kW). This configuration uses a 2-point hitch with swivel gearbox and is specified for Category II or III N. The tractor must also provide two double-acting hydraulic remotes, hydraulic pressure of 1,900 psi (131 bar) and hydraulic flow of 6 gpm (22.7 L/min).
