Designed for Controlled Log Handling

The LXG420R combines a wide grapple opening with hydraulic rotation to help operators grasp and position logs and other suitable material. The 360° rotator allows the grapple to turn hydraulically, supporting more precise placement without requiring the skidsteer to be repositioned for every adjustment. The bypass grapple configuration and cantilever cradle complement the attachment’s log-handling design, while the high clamp force helps maintain a secure grip during movement.

At 588 lb, the attachment offers a substantial working tool while keeping its overall dimensions defined for skidsteer use. The unit measures 51 inches long, 52 inches wide, and 47 inches high. Its 48-inch maximum grapple opening provides capacity for larger logs, while the minimum 3-inch opening supports handling of smaller material within the attachment’s specified range.

Compatibility and Mounting

The Wallenstein LXG420R is intended for skidsteer loaders with a universal quick-attach plate. The universal skidsteer quick-attach mounting system provides the attachment interface, and the included hydraulic hoses and couplers connect the grapple to the carrier’s hydraulic system. Confirm that the loader has the appropriate quick-attach plate and hydraulic connections before operation.

Skidsteer Requirements

The manufacturer specifies an engine power range of 30–70 HP and a recommended hydraulic flow of 5 gpm (19 lpm). The carrier must also be suitable for the attachment’s 3,000 lb lift capacity and 588 lb operating weight.
