Description

The Wallenstein BX102RPI 10" PTO-Driven Hydraulic Feed Wood Chipper is a heavy-duty, tractor-mounted disc chipper designed for processing branches and woody material up to 10 inches in diameter. Built for tractors rated from 75–120 engine HP, it combines dual hydraulic feed rollers, automatic roller speed control, P3 Pulse™ on-board intelligence, and a hydraulic top-roller lift for controlled, productive feeding. The BX102RPI is the P3 Pulse™ and winch configuration, including a 1,200 lb hydraulic winch with 50 feet of rope to help bring material to the chipper. Its Category II three-point hitch mounting, PTO direct drive, fold-up hopper, adjustable discharge chute, and 360° chute rotation make it suited to demanding property maintenance, land clearing, and wood-processing applications.

Designed for Controlled Hydraulic Feeding

The BX102RPI uses a dual hydraulic roller feed system to draw material into the chipper. Automatic roller speed control and P3 Pulse™ on-board intelligence support consistent operation, while the hydraulic top-roller lift helps accommodate material during feeding. The chipper has a 10 x 17 inch (25 x 43 cm) infeed opening and a 30 x 42 inch (76 x 107 cm) hopper opening.

Inside the machine, the four-knife disc rotor has a 36-inch (92 cm) diameter and weighs 425 lb (193 kg). Reversible rotor knives provide a serviceable cutting configuration, while the discharge system offers adjustable positioning and full 360° rotation. The discharge chute height is 100 inches (253 cm).

Integrated Winch and Transport Configuration

The BX102RPI includes a hydraulic winch rated for 1,200 lb (545 kg) of pulling capacity. Its 50-foot (15 m), 1/4-inch (6 mm) rope can assist with positioning material for feeding. For transport, the feed hopper folds to reduce the working width from 85 inches (215 cm) open to 71 inches (180 cm) folded.

Tractor Requirements and Compatibility

This Wallenstein chipper is intended for tractors rated from 75–120 engine HP and requires a Category II three-point hitch. It is iMatch™ compatible and Quick Hitch compatible. The required hydraulic flow is 4–8 gpm (15–30 lpm). The rated PTO speed is 540–1000 rpm; the verified PTO operating requirement includes 540 rpm.
