Powerful, Flexible Log Splitting

The WX980L is built around a two-stage hydraulic pump delivering 16 gpm (60.5 L/min), supporting a fast average cycle time of 6.69 seconds and a full cycle time of 13.38 seconds. Its 5-inch cylinder and 24-inch stroke provide the operating capacity needed for processing larger rounds, while the 10-inch wedge height and wide wedge design support effective splitting across a range of firewood sizes.

For convenient operation, the splitter includes hands-free hydraulic return and a direct-pressure hydraulic system. Logs can be split horizontally for typical loading and processing, or vertically when handling heavier rounds that are difficult to lift onto the bed. The 26-inch bed height provides a practical working position for horizontal splitting.

Built for Transport

As a trailer-mounted splitter, the WX980L is designed to move between woodlots, homes, farms, and other work areas. It uses a 2-inch ball hitch and includes standard safety chains. The factory-installed light kit distinguishes the WX980L variant and supports visibility when transporting the unit.
