The WALLENSTEIN WP845 25 Ton, Winch Infeed, Towable/Self-Contained Firewood Processor is designed to streamline firewood production with an integrated Vanguard engine, hydraulic log winch, chainsaw cutting workflow, and automatic splitting operation. Its 25-ton splitter handles logs up to 22 inches in diameter, while the adjustable 4-way wedge provides flexible splitting performance. Highway-towable construction, a 2-inch ball hitch, folding dimensions, and a self-contained hydraulic system make the WP845 suitable for processing firewood where it is needed without relying on a tractor PTO system. Manufacturer-rated throughput is up to 2 cords per hour.

Efficient Firewood Processing

The WP845 combines log handling, cutting, splitting, and offloading in one towable machine. Its hydraulic winch provides 1,550 lb of pulling capacity and includes 50 feet of 1/4-inch rope to help position logs for processing. A pivoting chainsaw holder supports the cutting workflow, while the recommended saw bar length is 22 to 30 inches.

After cutting, the 25-ton splitter processes material through a 24-inch split opening. The adjustable 4-way wedge can be configured to suit the desired splitting arrangement, and the auto-cycle splitter valve supports hands-free operation during repeated cycles. The full-stroke splitting cycle time is 8.3 seconds.

Built for Mobile Operation

Powered by an integrated Vanguard 14 hp engine, the WP845 uses its own hydraulic system rather than requiring an external tractor hydraulic supply. The two-stage pump delivers 22 US gpm, or 83.2 L/min, and the system has a 10.6 US gallon hydraulic capacity.

The processor is highway towable and uses a 2-inch ball hitch, Torflex suspension axle, sweep tongue, and floating stabilizer. Its folding configuration reduces transport width to 73 inches, while the open working width is 69 inches. An adjustable offload chute discharges processed firewood at a height of 54 inches.
