HLA Attachments STMGBO500 Heavy Duty Stump Bucket with Grapple is a robust land-clearing attachment designed to rip through roots, remove stumps, dig out boulders and excavate shallow trenches. Configured with HLA’s BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach interface, it combines a narrow, reinforced digging profile with a hydraulic grapple for greater control over stumps, rocks, roots and other cleared material. Three heavy-duty shanks penetrate compacted ground, while high-tensile-steel sides, serrated edges and a substantial floor provide the strength required for demanding digging and clearing work.

Built for Demanding Land-Clearing Work

The STMGBO500 is designed around a long, tapered scoop that concentrates digging force at its 12-inch-wide tip. The scoop expands to 30 inches at the base, providing useful capacity while retaining the narrow profile needed to work around roots and buried material. Its 53-inch-long floor helps the attachment reach beneath stumps, rocks and other obstacles.

Three heavy-duty shanks are fitted with replaceable points and rubberized flex pins. These digging components are designed to break into soil and rip through root systems, with replaceable wear points helping support ongoing serviceability. The 1/2-inch high-tensile-steel sides incorporate serrated edges, adding cutting capability when working through roots and vegetation. A 3/8-inch-thick floor reinforces the scoop for excavation and material handling.

Hydraulic Grapple Versatility

The integrated hydraulic grapple expands the stump bucket’s usefulness beyond digging alone. It helps secure loosened stumps, boulders, roots and land-clearing debris so material can be lifted, repositioned or carried with improved control. Loader auxiliary hydraulics are required to operate the grapple.

For hydraulic connection and hose management, HLA lists an optional HK90 90-inch hose kit with flat-faced couplers and an optional SHMK spring hose mount kit. These are optional accessories rather than standard attachment specifications.
