Description

HLA Attachments CHB54BO500 54-Inch Concrete Hopper Bucket is a concrete-handling attachment designed to move and place up to 15 cu. ft. of concrete while reducing manual handling and eliminating the need for wheelbarrows. Its compact hopper, hydraulically controlled discharge gate, and 30-inch swinging chute make it particularly useful for placing concrete in tight working areas. Configured with the BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach mount, it is easy to attach to most skid-steer loaders equipped with a compatible carrier.

Efficient Concrete Handling

The CHB54BO500 combines a 54-inch inside width with a 14.5-cu.-ft. struck capacity and an advertised concrete capacity of up to 15 cu. ft. It allows concrete to be transported directly from the mixing or delivery point to the placement area, helping reduce the time and labour associated with moving material by wheelbarrow.

The hopper measures 55 inches wide, 25 inches long, and 23 inches high externally. These compact dimensions help the attachment work effectively where access is limited. With an approximate attachment weight of 490 lb, it provides substantial concrete-carrying capacity in a manageable skid-steer-mounted package.

Controlled Concrete Placement

A hydraulically controlled discharge gate gives the operator control over the release of concrete from the loader seat. The discharge opening measures 13 inches by 5 inches, directing material into the 30-inch swinging chute. The chute helps guide concrete toward the required placement point and is especially useful when working around forms or in confined spaces.

Auxiliary hydraulics are required to operate the discharge gate. Optional hydraulic hose kits are available with flat-faced couplers, including a standard configuration and an alternative with 90-degree couplers. An optional spring hose-mount kit is also available to support hose management.

The CHB54BO500 is configured with an HLA Attachments BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach mount. It is compatible with most skid-steer loaders and BO500 skid-steer-style quick-attach carriers. Confirm that the loader’s carrier, lift capacity, and hydraulic connections are suitable for the attachment and intended load before use.

Hydraulic Requirements

The discharge gate requires auxiliary hydraulics. Hydraulic flow and pressure requirements are not published. Hydraulic hose kits with flat-faced couplers are optional and can be selected to suit the loader connection arrangement.
