Designed for loaders equipped with an HLA BO500 universal skid-steer-style quick-attach carrier, this assembly provides a wide bucket, a generous 70-inch grapple opening and two hydraulic cylinders for securing bulky or loose loads. It is well suited to handling materials such as manure and can also accommodate 4-foot round bales.

Versatile Bucket and Grapple Combination

This assembly pairs HLA’s regular-duty MB-series material bucket with the GR84 regular utility grapple. The bucket has a 96-inch inside width and an approximate 98-inch outside width, providing broad coverage for loading, carrying and cleanup work. Its 22.5-cubic-foot struck capacity and 28.6-cubic-foot SAE heaped capacity provide useful volume for general material-handling applications.

The 84-inch grapple opens up to 70 inches, allowing it to close over irregular, bulky and high-volume loads. Two 2-1/2 x 8-inch hydraulic cylinders operate the grapple. Its opening capacity also allows the assembly to accommodate 4-foot round bales, extending its usefulness beyond loose-material handling.

Regular-Duty Bucket Construction

The bucket is manufactured from 3/16-inch material and includes 1/4-inch end plates. A 3/4 x 4-inch beveled cutting edge supports effective entry into material, while the reinforced top lip, round back and reinforced end plates add structure to the bucket design.

For easier positioning during loading and grading work, the flat top of the bucket functions as a level indicator. Self-cleaning tapered end plates are designed to reduce material buildup, helping the bucket release its load more cleanly. The bucket is also drilled to accept an optional bolt-on cutting edge.
