HLA Attachments SST84BO500 84-Inch Hydraulic Side-Discharge Straw/Lime Bucket combines an approximately 2-1/3 cu yd heaped capacity with controlled, bidirectional material discharge. Designed for loaders and skid steers equipped with the BO500 universal skid-steer-style quick-attach interface, this bucket uses a hydraulic direct-coupled drive and requires at least 12 GPM of auxiliary hydraulic flow. Its agitator, secondary metering drum and paddle-equipped conveyor belt work together to maintain consistent material movement, making it a practical attachment for distributing straw/lime mixtures, chopped straw, sawdust, wood shavings and other suitable materials.
The SST84BO500 is designed to discharge material from either side of the machine. This bidirectional capability allows the operator to select the most convenient discharge direction for the working area, helping with placement along lanes, bedding areas, feeding areas and other locations where controlled lateral distribution is useful.
A hydraulic direct-coupled drive powers the discharge system. Inside the bucket, an agitator helps prevent material from bridging, while a secondary metering drum regulates the flow of material onto the conveyor belt. This arrangement supports more controlled feeding of material to the discharge system rather than allowing the load to move onto the belt all at once.
The conveyor uses a 12-inch-wide high-abrasion rubber belt fitted with 1-1/2-inch paddles. The belt and paddles are designed to carry material toward the selected side of the bucket for discharge. For maintenance and service access, the complete conveyor assembly is removable.
A rear mesh panel improves visibility into the bucket, helping the operator monitor material level and loading. The quick-attach adaptation is bolted to the bucket and is configured as the HLA BO500 universal skid-steer-style mount.
Although designed specifically for straw/lime mixtures, the HLA SST84 side-discharge bucket can also handle a selection of other agricultural, livestock and landscaping materials. Verified suitable materials include chopped straw, sawdust, wood shavings, fine-to-medium wood chips, corn silage and premixed TMR.
Material condition and consistency should be appropriate for the bucket’s agitator, metering drum and belt-conveyor system. The attachment’s large-capacity bucket, hydraulic drive and either-side discharge make it suitable for operations that need to transport and laterally distribute compatible bulk material with one attachment.
The SST84BO500 is configured for loaders and skid steers that use the HLA BO500 universal skid-steer-style quick-attach interface. The carrier must also have an auxiliary hydraulic system capable of supplying a minimum flow of 12 GPM. Confirm both the mounting interface and available auxiliary hydraulic flow before ordering or installation.
This side-discharge bucket requires a minimum auxiliary hydraulic flow of 12 GPM. Adequate hydraulic flow is necessary to operate the direct-coupled discharge system, conveyor, agitator and metering components as intended.
